But that's not all that's in the air.
The Human assistant came back from the shelter smelling like Akita on Saturday. You may remember that I mentioned Caesar a few times last month. Well take a look:
Tearing up stuffies, maybe? |
Is that "Male Pattern Baldness"? |
Kinda looks like he's blowin' his coat. So I guess Akitas really are a northern breed. A Wikipedia article says they're from Japan. I din't think that was northern. But ... ?
It also says they weigh up to 40 kilograms. The H.A. says that's 88 pounds in American. He also says Caeser will still weigh more than that even if he loses every hair on his body!
He'd make a pretty big Xoloitzcuintli! Caesar, I mean. Well, H.A. would too!
Remember Blue and Sequoia?
Well, Blue did get adopted. YAY! And Sequoia's family brought her into the shelter to finalize her adoption! DOUBLE YAY!
Silly 11-month-old Sequoia has a pack sister. Here they are, Spirit and Sequoia:
Hey! Sequoia! |
Straighten up, kid! |
(Remembering another goofy pic) |
Finally! Shoot it! |
There are no more Siberian Huskies at Maxfund! Is this the end of the Sibe of the Month Club? Could anything take its place?
Stay tuned!

Mom wonders if Akitas originated in northern Japan? Hokkaido is COLD! It's frozen over for a good third of the year. It's kind of like the Russian part of Japan!
Mom just had a "duh" moment and realized Akita is a prefecture in Japan, and it is up north, although not way, way up. It is a cold part of the country, though.
